SCOPE OF THE STUDY PROGRAMMES

The National Defence Course (NDC) is designed to develop leadership competencies, analytical skills and knowledge of participants on national defence and security issues in preparation for their assignment at the national strategic policy formulation level. The national defence course is run over a period of fifty (50) weeks divided into four (04) terms. Major highlights of the course include the following areas:

  1. Foundational Theory and Zimbabwe Domestic Studies
  2. International Security Studies
  3. National Security Studies
  4. National Defence Building

 Candidates for the course are drawn from local, regional and international security and other strategic government institutions. To attend the course, candidates must be selected by their institutions.
