CENTRE FOR DEFENCE AND STRATEGIC STUDIESCRITERIA FOR ENROLMENT
A candidate must:
- be in possession of at least five (5) Ordinary Level passes, including English Language at a minimum of Grade ‘C’ or better;
- possess a Joint Command and Staff Course Certificate with a Grade ‘C’ pass or better;
- have an assessed capacity to serve at a senior level in his/her Service, Government, parastatal organisation or the private sector; and
- have attained the minimum rank of Lieutenant Colonel/Wing Commander or equivalent or occupy a position with commensurate responsibilities, or be of equivalent seniority in non – military organisations.
NOTIFICATION OF SELECTION
Candidates nominated to undertake studies at the University are notified of their selection by their respective institutions. The University in turn, confirms their nomination through official communication which is accompanied by Joining Instructions. The Centre is manned by a team of competent and experienced Brigadier Generals/Air Commodores and Colonels/Group Captains as members of the Directing Staff.
